The Lindy Cat.6 USB Extender can be used to extend the distance between a USB device and a host computer by up to 50m. It consists of a local unit, which can be connected to the computer or laptop and a remote unit which connects to USB devices including webcams and storage devices, perfect for long distance access to files or in video conferencing scenarios.

Standard, low cost Cat.5e/6 cable (not included) is used to connect the two units together.

For best performance and compatibility, we recommend the use of solid core patched cables. A power supply can be connected optionally for use with high current USB devices.
