NIKON AA-1B Base adapter (nk-AA1B)
An adapter with a ball joint that allows the camera to be (a) fixed to a flat or curved surface or (b) used as a mount for other accessories. In the former case, the user first attaches the adapter to the camera, then attaches a base mount to the adapter, and finally attaches to base mount to the flat or curved surface. In the latter case, the user attaches the adapter to the camera and then connects accessories to the adapter’s accessory quick shoe. The adapter screws in to the camera tripod mount.
