Movie Mist Filters were originally designed for the motion picture industry and are perfect for smoothing and softening facial imperfections.

These filters are the ultimate softening tool for creating a mood outdoors or indoors or in broad scenes or portraits by amplifying highlights and slightly reducing contrast. Unlike traditional soft focus filters, there is little loss of detail. The Warm Black Movie Mist filter softens fine details with an added warming effect and is more subtle than the clear mist. They are available in 3 densities of 0.5, 1, and 2. Formatt-Hitech filters are made from the highest quality 1.5mm optical resin. The 100mm size is useable with the Formatt-Hitech 100mm holder system or any 100mm (4") holder. The filter is also available in 67mm, 85mm, 150mm and 165m

Versions

Clear Movie Mist: This filter lightens the shadow areas of the image a little more dramatically than a Black Movie Mist. The reduction in contrast and softening appear more pronounced with the Clear Movie Mist.

Black Movie Mist: This filters is more subtle than the equivalent Clear Movie Mist, and has more of the softening character with less apparent reduction in contrast.

Warm Clear Movie Mist: Same as the Clear Movie Mist with a warm tone to the filter.

Warm Black Movie Mist: Same as the Black Movie Mist with a warm tone to the filter.
