YONGNUO 40 mm F2.8N nikon AF lens (CLY-AF40f28-N)
Distinguished by its pancake design and slightly-wider-than-normal focal length, the YN 40mm f/2.8N from Yongnuo is a compact prime for Nikon F-mount DSLRs. The comfortable field of view of the lens pairs well with the sleek profile to make it an ideal everyday lens to suit photographing in a variety of situations. Its optical design incorporates one aspherical element to reduce spherical aberrations and distortions for greater sharpness, and individual glass elements are also multi-coated to suppress flare for improved contrast. A DC motor affords quick and accurate autofocus performance and a switch lets you quickly change from AF and MF focusing methods. Additionally, a micro-USB port is located on the front of the lens to permit installing firmware updates for the lens. Slightly wider than the standard 50mm, this 40mm f/2.8 lens is designed for FX-format Nikon F-mount DSLRs, however can also be used with DX models where it provides a 60mm equivalent focal length.
Pancake form factor is slim and lightweight to make for an especially portable lens to suit everyday shooting.
Relatively bright f/2.8 maximum aperture affords control over depth of field and also helps to realize the compact overall size.
One aspherical element is located at the rear of the lens construction, and helps to minimize spherical aberrations and distortion for greater sharpness and clarity.
Individual glass elements are multi-coated to resist flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity.
A DC motor is used for quick and accurate autofocus performance, and a dedicated switch lets you quickly change from AF to MF control. A focus distance scale is also featured to aid with pre-focusing techniques.
Chrome-plated metal lens mount is durable and accurate for a secure fit with the camera body and gold-plated contacts help to ensure consistent communication between the lens and camera.
Six-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth bokeh quality.
A micro-USB port is located on the front of the lens to allow for updating the lens's firmware.
